SAFA Tshwane public statement on covid-19

On Sunday, 15 March 2020, the Presidet of the Republic, the hon. Mr. Cyril Ramaphosa, declared the outbreak of the Coronavirus disease a national disaster in terms of the Disaster Management Act.

Subsequent to the above declaration, on Monday, 16 March 2020, the South African football national body, SAFA, released a statement advising its members, amongst others, ” to suspend and/or postpone all football matches and football events that are attended by more than 100 people in the country until further notice.”

As a result of the above declaration and advice, SAFA Tshwane would like to notify all its stakeholders that football competitions, events or gatherings organized directly by the region have been suspended and/or postponed until further notice.

Members of SAFA Tshwane are advised to suspend and/or postpone all its football matches, events or gatherings until further notice.

All stakeholders will be kept updated on developments on a regular basis.
