The referee, Mr David Mashapa, filed a formal report and stated "I David Mashapa arrived at the Sefako Makgatho at 11:55. At 12:00 i went to inspect the field (ground), the field was not suitable for football standard of play. I told the ground manager of Sefako Makgatho to make the field be on football standard of play (poles). That was done before the kickoff of the game".
